No we didn’t miss a few versions, this is the first new release after 5.0.45. By the way this is a bug fix release and it is in source format only. This means that you definitely need to compile your version if you are affected by the bugs that are fixed. If you don’t have any problems or concerns don’t upgrade.
Check the bug fixes that are listed on the release notes and check if you are affected in any way.
I’ve compiled this version and did some simple tests on Leopard and Tiger and both can be compiled and installed using the instructions in the documentation set without problems.

My mysql process after awhile running jumps to 100% and holds there until I restart it. Then the cycle repeats and eventually it jumps to 100% again. Have you seen this before? Any ideas? Thanks.

I really can’t tell from here, it can depend on so many stuff. Are you using the database when it goes up to 100%? Maybe a rogue query ?

Yes it is during use. It’s possible it’s a rogue query, but I hesitate to blame it on that because I have two different servers, a web server with mysql, and an email server that uses mysql for it’s users, and it’s happening on both.
Mysql still seems to runs smoothly, but it bothers me when I use ‘top’ and see the process hovering in the 100% range.
