I used most of the instructions here but I switched to Dovecot for my pop, imap, LDA and SASL needs. I set up suexec to run the dspam cgi with the proper permissions but you have to recompile apache with one addition to the configure script. --enable-suexec is not enough for a Leopard install, it also needs --with-suexec-caller=_www. Then I used the apache passwd program to encrypt a password file and protect a virtual domain that only serves the dspam cgi dspam.mydomain.com .
