If you don't have any issues, or there is no great security hole I wouldn't bother....
We (in the DIYMacServer setup) use the OS X provided OpenSSL libraries. Apple will release a security update if something serious happens.

Same here on the courier stuff...

Ok thanks, see I have OpenSSL version 0.9.7l and 0.9.8e is the latest one.
Should I upgrade to this version?
According to the OpenSSL Project Team it is strongly recommend to upgrade to at least OpenSSL 0.9.7m as soon as possible.
Have been Googling for about 2 hrs yesterday to find out the version of the Courier modules but couldn't find it.

Openssl was easy: openssl version

SASL is not important as we use the apple version, just need the include files.

Courier, I'm still looking into thse two...

Is there an easy way to check the active version of all the programs used in the Docs?
I know a couple:

MySQL: /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql -V
Postfix: sudo /usr/sbin/postfix –v
Apache: /library/apache2/bin/apachectl -v
PHP: /library/php5/bin/php -v

But how about:

OpenSSL
SASL
courier-authlib
Courier-IMAP
